The White House just announced that the Obamas will grow their own vegetables - with help of students from a local Elementary School. In some urban neighborhoods community gardens have become a survival tool in economic hard times.Join us in a conversation with Amanda Baker from Janus Youth and teens who grow vegetables at the Food Works Farm in North Portland. Last year these young people, many refugees or other immigrants, were able to give away vegetables to low income families and make a profit from selling produce at the Farmer's Market.Hosted by Gabriele Ross
